Fees

As recommended by the Australian Psychological Society our fees are aligned with the 2026-2027 recommended schedule of fees, which recommends a fee of up to $330 for a 50 - 60 minute consultation with a Clinical Psychologist. Please note at Origin Psychology you will pay $310 a session which is within Australian Psychological Society guidelines. Also, note that you may be charged an additional fee for report writing and support letters depending on the duration of time that may be devoted to the task.

Rebates

If you were referred by your GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), you are eligible to claim a Medicare rebate. The current Medicare rebate for an appointment with a clinical psychologist for sessions lasting at least 50-60 minutes is $149.05. You must provide a copy of your referral and MHTP by fax or email prior to your initial appointment. These must be emailed or faxed directly to Origin Psychology.

If you have private health insurance, you may be able to access rebates for psychology. Please contact your insurance provider to check your eligibility.

Payments

Fees for face-to-face sessions are payable directly at the end of your appointment. Payment for appointments can be made via direct deposit via debit/credit card. No cash is accepted.

If eligible, Medicare claims will be processed automatically for you following the processing of payment.

Telehealth Appointments:

Payments for Telehealth appointments are made through Origin Psychology’s practice management software and are payable directly after the session. Please note these payments are also made through direct deposit.
